A REAL HOT BITCH

My name is Rosie but my friends/colleagues/parents/partner/Bitches call me Rosie/Rockit (Bitchin’ pseudonym) Rosie-Roberts. 

For breakfast this morning I had a pear 🍐 but what I really wanted was hash browns, so then I had some, with eggs! 🍳

On a Sunday afternoon you would find me either at work or on a couch with a book and some chippies, or with my semi-professional dance troupe the Real Hot Bitches and no idea 🤷🏻 what I’m having for dinner or what my next dance move might be.

My most embarrassing moment to date was when... actually this is hard, as a clumsy person I am forever tripping over/spilling things over myself and others. I also have a high tolerance for embarrassment as I have been known to wear a lot of layered Lycra & wigs in public. Oh I did accidentally say hi to Jude Law once 'cos I thought I knew him from work, it turns out that was the case.

The world would be a better place with more eyebrow dancing in it.

I have been coming to Shut Up & Dance since early 2017 and my favourite part about it is the pure joy of (subjectively) being the greatest dancer in the world for an evening...& the accidental exercise. The routine I want to learn the most is Tilted by Christine & The Queens. 

My detailed knowledge of early 2000’s boy band lyrics is something that has changed since my first Shut Up & Dance class. (It's now much improved, thank you for that). The reason I keep coming back is I’m addicted to dance. My favourite routine so far is Proud Mary ...no wait, Jai Ho, no wait, Cheap Thrills.

My favourite music track of all time is Poi E because it’s pure genius (plus an excellent opportunity for Air Poi, like air guitar but with poi). 

If there was a film made about my life, the song that plays on its trailer would be Conga by Gloria Estefan & the Miami Sound Machine on account of its subtlety.

To pay the bills I work as an ICU nurse and if money was no object I would run a bookshop 📚 when I wasn’t on tour as a back-up dancer 💃

The last time I took a risk was when I tried the dating game and it's made me realise that, I’m a great conversationalist and likely a comic genius. 

If I could have a secret power it would be the ability to nail all the dance moves in the world of dance moves so that I could do ALL the dance moves, all the time, thus fulfilling my lifetime wish of being a professional back-up dancer.

My 2018 motto is Thirty-nine, Thirty-Fine! 💥
