WELCOMING MILLIE TO THE TEAM!

We are super excited to introduce you to the wonderful Millie who is working behind the scenes with Abby. She is not only incredibly smart, organised and creative, she is a voice teacher, studied musical theatre and is an amazing singer and all round EPIC human. Literally couldn't be more on brand if she tried!

My name is Millie but everyone has a different nickname for me. Mil, Mills, Mildred, Milhouse, Millington... the list goes on. Feel free to add to it!

For breakfast this morning I had peanut butter on fruit bread, but what I really wanted was the avo on toast from Customs. *dreams about it* *makes trip to customs*

I have been coming to Shut Up & Dance since I moved to New Zealand in February and my favourite part about it is that I get to be a full on pop star and rock out for an hour!

Enjoying fitness is something that has changed since my first Shut Up & Dance class. I love it, and the reason I keep coming back is because it's SO MUCH FUN and I can’t think of a better way to exercise. Especially surrounded by total babes all supporting each other. No judgement, positive vibes only #girlpower

My favourite guilty pleasure track is probably anything by Celine Dion. (Did I just admit that???) Yup, Celine and me go way back and I love to imagine I'm belting it out, duetting with her at a concert. I'm actually going to see her in August, maybe my dream will come true?

My favourite routine so far is either Oops I Did It Again (because inside I secretly think I'm Britney) or Rhythm Nation, because it is SUCH A TUNE! That beat is the one.

I met the love of my life at uni through the power of musical theatre (cheese) and his name is Mark. To be honest it's a close call between him and Fix and Fogg's peanut butter, but he's pretty cool.

The last time I took a risk was when I decided to pack up everything going on in the UK and move here, and it's made me SO HAPPY! Can I stay? Just kidding mum... :)

On a Sunday afternoon you would find me relaxing to the max, preferably at a cafe with friends, getting lost in nature, or cooking with a LARGE glass of Sauv in hand. And definitely no work or stress. Sundays are sacred.

The world would be a better place with more singing in it. I swear it would make everyone 100% happier if we all sang more. Music is therapy. And, it's fun! Sing like no one's listening, words to live by.

The routine I want to learn the most is Beyonce's Single Ladies. I give it a good go when it comes on, but clearly need some guidance.

If I could have a secret power it would be to make all woman and girls feel empowered, so that they could see that they're AMAZING and can do ANYTHING they put their mind to!
